Oz, The Moment of Liberation & Enjoyment of Being Liberated, Steven Paul Riddle

These two 4' x 4' Acrylic/Oil paintings on canvas by Steven Paul Riddle are based on an essay by Henry Littlefield on The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was a political satire, founded on a long tradition of Political interpretations of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. He wrote an essay to this effect for his high-school students in Mount Vernon, NY, and published it in the American Quarterly in 1964.

These paintings now reside in the home of a New York collector. You can view more of Steven Paul Riddle's work at Marion Royael Gallery or Amazon Fine Art.

Nothing to Hide?

Suppose Superman was real and worked at the Daily Planet. Suppose he took the job so he could get the breaking news first. Suppose he needed this breaking news so on a moments notice he could change and fly off faster than a speeding bullet to rescue and save the victims. Suppose there were thousands of surveillance cameras located throughout Metropolis.

Nothing to Hide can be viewed and purchased on Amazon Fine Art until it's gone. Amazon Fine Art, Nothing to Hide

The new and better Corporate Farm?

Living in a simi-rual area, but still just an hour commute to NYC, we see the small farms vanishing replaced by McMansions, hobby farms, and large acre housing. Meeting the elderly individuals whose families ran these small farms turned track housing a person can't help but be somewhat saddened by the loss, they loved their farms and their life's work. We love them for their work and for many years enjoyed the fruit of their labor.

Living in this area it is more obvious and in a person's face that these farms are just gone, dead.... large run down barns litter the country side tossed aside un-needed in a stark contrast to new McMansions. These types of family farms once the food suppliers to the world have been replaced.... gone forever, the large corporate farm is here to stay. While this is happening here largely due to our proximity to the city it is occurring throughout the world due to a real money maker, the new and better Corporate farm?
